Thanksgiving Countdown 2026: How Many Days Until Thanksgiving (and How to Put It on Your iPhone)

Thanksgiving 2026 is Thursday, November 26.

How many days until Thanksgiving 2026

Days and hours until Thanksgiving

… days … hours

This count is calculated in your browser. It is not a fixed number.

You can add this countdown to your iPhone Lock Screen with a countdown widget.

In the United States, Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November. The numbers above use that rule and this device's clock. They count the days and hours until that day starts. After Thanksgiving Day ends, the same count moves to the next year. Nothing is sent off this page.

Add a Thanksgiving countdown to your iPhone Lock Screen and Home Screen

Countdown Central: Events by Tecmanic can show one event on the Lock Screen, the Home Screen, and the Dynamic Island. You can count down to a date or up from one. Workday mode counts Monday through Friday. The app also includes calendar import. The product page places calendar import on the paid plan. This page does not list prices. The download is free. Taptronics, L.L.C. ships a different app, Countdown Central: Event Timer. The App Store link below is Countdown Central: Events by Tecmanic.

Open Countdown Central: Events and create an event named Thanksgiving. Set the date to this year's Thanksgiving and count down to it. Leave Workday mode off if you want every calendar day, including Saturday and Sunday. If the date is already on your calendar, you can use calendar import instead of typing it.
Add that event to the Lock Screen. The exact controls are in How to Add a Countdown Widget to Your iPhone (Lock Screen and Home Screen). Create the Thanksgiving event first, then follow that guide and pick this event.
Add it to the Home Screen too, if you want the count next to your apps. The same guide covers that step. The same event can also show in the Dynamic Island.

The product page is Countdown Central: Events. Download Countdown Central: Events on the App Store.

Count down to Christmas next

Christmas comes after Thanksgiving. Add it as another event in Countdown Central: Events and put that event on the Lock Screen or the Home Screen. A page for the days until Christmas is not published yet, so this post does not link to one.
